Speeding and improving the conceptual modelling process
Leapfrog Hydro is a tool for developing and refining 3D geologic models as well as knowledge discovery and numerical analysis within geological systems. The software also interfaces to the FELFOW flow and transport simulator. Leapfrog Hydro is based on the implicit modelling approach. This results in a work flow for the rapid development of geological models. Typical example
A typical example of an application is the construction of a geological model for this peninsula. We have a
Roughly 350 borehole logs that cover the site (Figure 1). The geologic situation is dominated by glacial deposits. The goal is to develop a geological model that can be used to address water resource concerns since water quality is threatened from a number of sources.

The borehole descriptions are regrouped using tools in Leapfrog Hydro, for example coarse and fine sands can be grouped together. Using the geological descriptions and tools in Hydro descriptions can, if necessary, be split up into sub-groups (Figure 2).
