In the last newsletter
we informed about the upcoming beta testing program for the FEFLOW Explorer.
As of now the 3D visualizing software FEFLOW Explorer is available to our
maintenance clients. See the FEFLOW Explorer beta test

One
of the newly developed features in FEFLOW is available for beta
test to our maintenance clients now:
The completely new OpenGL-based FEFLOW Explorer (for
Windows) can be used to visualize model properties and results in
3D, and to export video files and images.
Clients with a current maintenance contract can
register
for beta testing on our website now.

FEFLOW
patches
A number
of minor bugs have been detected in FEFLOW 5.1, both by our clients and
by the WASY consulting staff. All the bugs have been fixed quickly so
that you are always able to work with an up-to-date release. Download
the latest patch (currently 5.108) from our website:

Training
courses
In
the second part of 2004 the following training courses will take place:

WASY
at the FEM_MODFLOW conference
|
The
FEM_MODFLOW conference in Carlsbad/Czech Republic brought together
groundwater modelers from all over the world.
WASY used the
opportunity to present the recent developments around FEFLOW to
the public. The feedback of FEFLOW users and prospects was consistently
positive.
We also presented
a number of talks and posters at the conference, for example about
the handling of free surfaces in groundwater models, about optimization
and model coupling. Some of them are summarized in a special
edition of our journal WASY Aktuell (pdf format, 5 MB).
After the conference,
a number of participants joined our one-day short course, where
capabilities and handling of the software were shown.
